Hatchery
Nampa Fish Hatchery
is a resident trout rearing facility located two miles south of Nampa. To reach
this facility travel two miles south of Nampa on Powerline road to the hatchery
entrance. The water supply includes eight artesian wells with a combined flow
of 18 to 40 cubic feet per second (cfs) of 59ºF water. Nampa Hatchery was
constructed in 1975 and purchased by the IDFG in 1982. This hatchery is the second
largest in the state's resident hatchery system. It grows and plants fish for
every region in the state. It provides put and take sized fish for redistribution
from McCall, Hayspur, Clearwater and Sawtooth hatcheries.
