Web Browsers

Netscape Navigator:
Netscape periodically offers upgrades to their web browsers for free download off of their web site.  If you already have Netscape on your computer, you may be able to upgrade your browser or find additional plugins for your current one. Remember that the Digital Atlas works best on version 4.7. Versions 6.0-6.2 have yet to work out incompatibilities and qwerks to work properly.

• To download/install Netscape Navigator:
  
  1. Use this link below to go to the Netscape download site: http://home.netscape.com/download/
  2. Select the appropriate software type and version for your system, and save it to your desktop
  3. Once you have saved the file exit ALL applications you may have running (including any phone/FAX centers)
  4. Double click on the file icon (located on you desktop) and your computer should take you through the installation process

Internet Explorer:
The latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, along with a host of other applications is available at the Microsoft web site. You can download Internet Explorer for free.

• To download/install Internet Explorer:
  
  1. Use this link to go to the Microsoft download site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/
  2. Select the appropriate software type and version for your system from the pull-down menus, and save it to your desktop
  3. Once you have saved the file exit ALL applications you may have running (including any phone/FAX centers)
  4. Double click on the file icon (located on you desktop) and your computer should take you through the installation process
