Objectives:

to navigate around the Digital Atlas.
2. Students will learn about the unique places in Idaho.
3. Students will have fun.
Procedure:
Use the Public Lands and Recreation Areas portion of the Digital Atlas of Idaho.
To get there: Click on Idaho Overview, then on Public
Lands and Recreation Areas. Use the main map and click on the various sites
on the map. Follow the clues and try to identify which place the clues direct
you to. If students do this carefully, they should be able to tell which place
the clues are referring to. Click below for a printable pdf copy of the handout

Idaho contains many wilderness areas and more miles of river than any of the other lower 48 states. There is an incredible variety of landscapes and geologic phenomena when compared with other states. This activity should make you more aware of some of the diversity of different areas that are contained within this beautiful state of Idaho. Use the main map and click on the various sites that are linked. Follow the clues below and try to discover the name of the place that these clues lead to. Pay attention to the details of each clue as you travel around Idaho. Happy Hunting!
